About 7 years ago, I joined a nonprofit called MDI (Mentor Discover Inspire) on a journey of self discovery. One of the most valuable life lessons I learned, was the power of asking questions. Questions can be the truest form of caring for another person. Questions allow people to dig deep, connect, and reveal the truest sense of who they are, their desire, joy, motivation, and even pain.
If you know anything about me, I love asking questions. Every time, I have an opportunity to get into a conversation that leads beyond the pleasantries, I ask deep questions about life; that allow me to genuinely connect and get to know people better.
Lately, my favorite question is "If you could travel to 1 destination that you could change your life, what would it be?" I am grateful for the positive feedback, I have received; it inspired me to create creative writing parties. People participate to answer a question and have the possibility of winning travel around the world.
