Remember those carefree college getaways- the weekends away with a destination, but no precise itinerary- the days that turned into nights of drinks, food, and laughing with your girlfriends? Have no fear, it’s back! This time, in “grown up” form—slightly less drinks, probably more modest clothing, and definitely nicer accommodations. Ladies, get your girlfriends and your suitcases.

In the words of Will Smith, “I’m going to Miami- “Welcome to Miami.’”

Miami as a whole has an eclectic culture both in food and the arts making it a popular destination for

your “adult spring break” style getaway. Gorgeous beaches only touch the surface of what Miami has to offer. With food at the forefront, it is no surprise that Miami is annually the host of The Food Network & Cooking Channel South Beach Wine & Food Festival presented by Capital One (SOBEWFF). This is the perfect four day escape from the kids! Find over 70 amazing culinary events, hosted by a variety of amazing chefs and celebrities.

As the 2022 SOBEWFF recently came to a close, we’re already looking ahead to 2023- mark your calendars for February 23-26, 2023. This festival truly gives a sampling of the best of all worlds, no matter your interest.

Based on the 2022 lineup—

Here for the drinks?

They’ve got you covered! Events from Rock Your Rosé to Calirosa Tequila Sunset Happy Hour to ABSOLUT Vodka presents Drag Brunch, the beverages will be plentiful!

Is food more of your forte? Check out the Chicken Coupe or Biscuit Love Brunch or the Asian Night Market. This is the perfect opportunity to test your tastebuds and try something new.

More into the culinary expertise and techniques? Follow your favorite television chefs into the dining room and get a sneak peek into their personal picks. The grouping is SO impressive, it would be impossible to see them all!

From the likes of Alex Guarnaschelli to Robert Irvine to Massaharu Morimoto to Rachael Ray to Geoffrey Zakarian and countless other chefs and restauranteurs and sommeliers.

Spring break, elevated! No need to worry about what the kids are eating and drinking at home because SOBEWFF will meet all of your needs. Definitely a little more gourmet than the college trips of your past, but your cup must runneth over (literally)!

This past year’s festival featured seven different lodging offerings for your ease and convenience. Allow your inner queen be pampered and enjoy amenities from pool side service to spa treatments. Most festival sponsored hotels are located in the heart of Miami on Collins Avenue, which runs parallel to the beach. Collins Avenue, known for its amazing shopping and the main hotel drag, also offers a wide array of gourmet cuisine, if the festival was not enough.

Miami is haven for art and culture.

Take the opportunity to check out some of Miami’s most famous artists and galleries, including pop artist Romero Britto, known for using vibrant colors and patterns to depict larger scenes. Britto is also well known for being the official artist of the 2014 FIFA World Cup. South Florida native, David LeBatard, better known as “Lebo”, began as a street artist and is now transitioning his work into impressive murals, paintings, and sculptures in what he calls the Postmodern Cartoon Expressionism. He has collaborated with a wide array of companies including Norwegian cruise ships, Ferrari, and Lululemon Athletica. You can also visit Eden Gallery to continue to quench your creative thirst, conveniently located on Collins Avenue.

Let’s not forget that amongst all of the amazing attractions and experiences that Miami has to offer, the pools and the beaches are some of the best. So many different beaches with varied offerings, take the opportunity to sunbathe and relax, go for a walk or jog, enjoy the views and incoming cruise ships, take the time to try out windsurfing or watch the lighthouse. There is a beach  “vibe” for everyone.

Grab your girls, grab your appetite, and grab your luggage because it’s time to start planning your jam-packed itinerary to the 2023 The Food Network & Cooking Channel South Beach Wine & Food Festival presented by Capital One now!

Ladies, get your girlfriends and your suitcases. In the words of Will Smith, “I’m going to Miami- “Welcome to Miami.’”
