All my life and work experiences have brought me to this place;
Where I can make a positive impact in community, families, and kids' lives.
I am dyslexic, so I have a very unique way of learning and looking at the world. I grow thru fun fulfilling experiences and pay it forward.
Who is Carlos?
By the time I was 12 years old, I had lived in 3 distinctively different countries and had to learn new customs, and languages. I got my first job, when I was 13. I got a college degree in Liberal Arts, and worked as a teacher, before pursuing a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Counseling (did not complete it, because I found my calling recruiting). I was fortunate to meet Alan Gregor, who taught me about the recruiting industry. I have been a successful recruiter primarily in tech helping companies solve staffing problems by finding talented professionals; and helping them land sweet jobs. When I turned 40, I completely transformed my life by pursuing purpose driven education needed to lead and positively impact community.
I learned about purposeful leadership from a men's nonprofit (Mentor+Discover+Inspire). I took every training class they had, and took what I learned into my business and community. I continued my inner growth develpment by immersing in different modalities; teaching purposeful living. I volunteered, traveled extensively, and began formulating my legacy (what will I be remember for). Every year, I have a simple goal to improve 100 people's lives.
Thru The Sweetest Gigs for Talented Kids; my education, 25 years of meaningful experiences/wisdom (life lessons, failures, overcoming obstacles, and success 'Recruiting for Good') has properly prepared me to mentor, role model, and teach kids habits and values that lead to a productive fun fulfilling life.
History The Sweetest Gigs
. I started The Sweetest Gigs in March 2020 with Kids Get Paid to Eat. And since then, I have learned about the infinite possibilities this experiential and meaningful program could have on kids.
Kids learn 3 simple values passion, purpose, and play
I developed a meaningful success oriented program that gives kids who participate in The Sweetest Gigs...a real life work experience...what does it mean; to earn a living, to bring value to a job, and even to create something meaningful.
Gigs for The Sweetest Talented Kids...
Is The Sweetest Gigs right for my kid? Girls do way better than boys. Girls are curious, love to follow thru, and are more mature. Kids in 5th grade get the most out of The Sweetest Gigs. In the Spring of 2023, we are Launching The Sweetest Gig for 10 Middle School Girls (We Use Our Voice for Good).
Some super sweet positive outcomes, kids ignite their passion for self-expression, learn to appreciate themselves (fall in love with reflecting and the process of learning), and gain inner wisdom. Some kids excel and take to leadership right away too.
The Gigs are uniquely designed to deliver a fun fulfilling experience that encompass passion, purpose, and play.
How to Land a Gig for My Kid?
Parents Participate in Recruiting for Good's Referral Program.
The Gigs are for 12 months, each kid does 1 gig a month, when they do a great job they get hired again (just like in the real world). And kids get paid on the gig...that's right earn money to pay for the things they love; beauty, dining, and shopping (of course with their mom's approval).
Parents are involved with their kids who are on The Gigs. Parents have an opportunity to connect with Our Community Mom who manages their kid's gigs.
We are selective about which parents and their kids join The Sweetest Gigs. Less is more...we deliver a collaborative, personal, and sweet service; that makes a positive impact in our lives.
Right now, we are only considering families in LA. We have only 10 spots available for Spring of 2023.

Can I pay for the program (The Sweetest Gigs)? No, we do not sell access to the meaningful program (parents must qualify for it, by doing a referral). Nothing worthwhile in life is easy or free!
The gigs are 100% remote (our community moms are in New Jersey); and Gigs do not take more than 1-2 hours to complete; every month.
