Attached is a picture of the Olympics themed jeans that I designed. I was inspired by all of the track events that I watched in the Olympics because I am so amazed and impressed by the athletes who race at speeds that seem impossible, but they make it possible!
♡
The bottom of the front of the jeans are styled as lanes because sprinters and hurdlers have to remain within their assigned lanes from the start of the race to the finish. I tried hurdles when I ran track two years ago, and I know how challenging the event is! There are two patches on the design - running sneakers with wings. It's a symbol of how the runners go so fast it's as if they are flying, and it's also a nod to the Winged Sandals of Hermes, the Greek messenger God who flew as swiftly as a bird!
♡
The black and white checkered flag print on the bottom of the back of the legs are symbolic of the flag that symbolizes the end of the race. Of course, the Olympic rings adorn the back pockets!
I chose a wide leg style because while the Olympic runners needed to stay in their narrow lanes while competing, they really had the whole wide world watching.
