My Sweet Dream Trip By 12 Year Old NJ Girl The BookWorm
Book me a plane ticket to the Maldives and my bags will be packed within minutes! Sure, I’d love to travel to a beautiful place with clear water and stunning surroundings. When you Google the Maldives, thousands of results pop up with over a hundred resorts you can stay at. While there are so many amazing places and experiences you can visit there, Soneva Fushi is the one place in particular that stands out to me. Soneva Fushi is a luxury desert island with both beachfront and waterfront villas. Not only do you get to live in stunning private houses during your stay, but there are also a large range of activities suitable for any and all ages.
I would give my arm and leg to stay in any of the private villas at Soneva Fushi for a week! The stylish decor in the villa pairs perfectly with the breathtaking exterior. When booking your travel you can choose a water retreat villa, a sunrise villa, or a sunset villa. The villas range from one bedroom all the way to nine bedrooms! Some of the villas have their own private pools and some of them even have waterslides. Imagine waking up, watching the sunrise, throwing on a swimsuit, and then going down your own private waterslide. Oh, to live that life! The color scheme on the inside of the villas is a mix of greens, whites, browns, and blues. The decor is a minimalist design, but still manages to fill the whole room, making the villas even more eye-catching. The rooms have many open windows, filling the space with lots of natural light that gifts guests with a beautiful view of the Indian Ocean. The outside of the villa is just as, if
not more, beautiful. Once you step out of your villa, you’ll find endless possibilities including a personal pool, seating areas, floating net over the ocean, and, most excitingly, YOUR OWN PRIVATE WATERSLIDE! I can just picture myself spending all day relaxing without ever needing to go anywhere else. Let’s just say I wouldn’t mind spending the rest of my life in that villa!
In addition to the stunning rooms, there are also many activities and excursions to choose from while staying at Soneva Fushi. Starting with the water activities, I’d love to be adventurous and go kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, windsurfing and catamaran sailing.
Then, I’d go diving in a small private group with an instructor to explore the depths of the Indian Ocean. I can’t wait to see manta rays while snorkeling in Hanifaru Bay! I’d even love to try eFoil, eSurf, and Seabob! On a day when I’d prefer to be dry, I’d spend time at Soneva Soul, a spa that is great for relaxing and rejuvenating, or sign up for Wildlife Explorer, an unforgettable experience where you get to go around the island learning about all of the wildlife that calls it home.
There are many family friendly activities that are perfect for spending some quality family time or for children staying at the resort. I’d go on a Castaway Picnic and be taken by a boat to another private island where I’d spend the day eating, swimming, and relaxing in the sun. At Private Cinema Paradiso, an outdoor theater, I’d enjoy some classic movie viewing time. An absolute must for me would be boarding a
boat for the sunset dolphin cruise, and getting to see dolphins as the sun set over the horizon. Maybe we’d give my little cousins some time in The Den, a technology free zone where kids get to play and learn during their stay.
If you’re a giant foodie like me, don’t worry, Soneva Fushi has so many amazing options for dining. For snacking during the day, I’d walk over to So Cool and indulge in one of the many seasonal ice cream flavors. I’d also stop by So Guilty to pick up a handful of dark chocolate treats. For my main meals, Mihiree Mithaa would be my top choice. It offers some of my favorite foods including Mediterranean dishes, Asian foods, and, of course, pizza and salad.
This trip would be most special if taken with my parents, sisters, grandma, aunt, uncle and two younger cousins. We’re a fun group and family time is always special with them. We love adventurous activities so the experiences at Soneva Fushi would be perfect for us. We’re also really good at relaxing and eating!
These are all of the reasons that I would LOVE to visit Soneva Fushi. I think that just staying there even once would be enough to fulfill my dreams. All of the amazing villas, activities, and dining experiences would give me a lifetime full of memories.
Soneva Fushi is my dream destination for a vacation and would be awesome for a sweet travel trip!
