This past weekend, Recruiting for Good hosted the first "Is Chivalry Alive in LA" Writing Competition for Men... "What You Love Most About Your Fiance, Girlfriend, or Wife?" Because the contest was live, and offline, we decided to reward a $500 shopping card for the winning entry. We had 7 men participate.
And our winner is Peter Rachael of Pacifica, CA. He was in Santa Monica visiting his family. He is originally from Northern England. Whatever you may think of the English, being shy and not passion....you are dead wrong. Every one has the potential to write beautifully from the heart.

What do I love most about my wife? Before her there was no love. My life magically began the dayI first set my eyes on her. What I did't realize is that such an incredibly beautiful woman could be so beautiful on the inside. I often wonder if others see the way I do? Just as we question how a color looks to two different people, or a how a piece of art is inspiring to one and insignificant to another. I ask myself; how was she not swept off her feet by the first man who saw her? How do I not lose her to another who is struck down by her beauty? The answer can only be that she was put on this earth for me. She is my proverbial other half. All of the cheesy, cliched movies and stories were written about her. She is perfect in every way. She's my friend, my lover, the mother of my children and the reason I strive to be the best I can be in everything I do. I never tire of seeing her smiles, laugh, or cry, tired, sick, or happy, her beauty shines through. The strangest thing is that I do love more each day. Even though I I always feel so fulfilled and amazed by her, there is always more, and another reason to feel something even stronger> I wish my words could do her justice. If I could even come close to describing what I love the most about her. I could maybe write love stories for a living. I owe her my life. Without her I didn't even live.
