in 2008, I hit rock bottom with the financial meltdown, I lost my identity. I was a workholic 70-80 hours a week was normal. I was working as a recruiter; and to off load I escaped to Vegas and partied for 2 days straight only to start the grind again on Monday morning at 4am till 9 or 10 at night.
In 2007, my agency was fortunate to land on the vendor list with MySpace they were hiring 100 people a month, and I worked from 4am to 10pm daily. Fridays fly to Vegas only to return on 7am Sunday flight. When I hit bottom, I stayed in bed for weeks.
Then, by accident or fortune I met a man who belonged to a nonprofit MDI (Mentor Discover Inspire). their sole purpose was to help men discover their purpose; so they can lead their life, relationships, and community. I took advantage of every training session they offered. I found mentors who thru their compassion, and patience revealed that I could be more than just a recruiter. I re-discovered my passion for serving a greater purpose (creating meaningful programs for the community i.e. 'Our Moms Work,' Girls Design Tomorrow™, Love to Dine for Good, Love to Party for Good, and Using recruiting for Good.) and over the last 15 years I have created and sponsored 100's of parties, mentored over 100 people (men, women, and kids).

how will I give back? By creating a sweet party for men who seek to find purpose, meaning in their life, becoming better fathers, husbands, boyfriends, and role models for others. MDI exists in other forms to this day. There are teams of men that meet every week to support men to kickass and party for Good...so stay tuned to my 1st party coming soon. so you can find the right team or mentor and transform your life for good!
